Once we returned home from Spring Break, we hit the ground running with special events.
I was invited to attend a dinner with one of our divisions that's had unprecedented success supporting the Navy's LCAC crafts. Our company founder, Bryan, joined us since he was in town that week. My boss, Cristi and I, laughed all evening at the hilarious banter between the guys, especially after they'd had a few drinks!
A couple of night later, Dan was my handsome date to Epsilon's Anniversary Party.
The theme of the party was Masquerade, and it was fun to see some of our former coworkers, Denise and Mona, there.

I received my 20-year anniversary certificate during the party.
My company holds season tickets to the Norfolk Tides baseball games, and we got to go on a Saturday night in April.
The seats were just a couple of rows behind home plate, which was the best spot to watch the game!
On Easter weekend, I picked up some donuts. Hallie got a cute Easter egg Krispy Kreme donut.
Emma prefers Dunkin, so she got her favorite, too. It looks like she's going to do the dog trick where they balance the treat on their nose and before snatching it mid-air.

And Hallie made adorable Easter-themed Rice Krispy Treats to share with the family.
After church on Easter Sunday, I was trying to get a nice photo of the girls together, but Emma had caught a frog. He was really excited about his photoshoot.
We joined the Jester family for lunch on Easter, and celebrated the March and April family birthdays.
Emma had the audacity to turn 13 this year.
She had her traditional "12" pancake the night before her birthday. Her last night of innocence.
My Uncle Brian and Aunt Margaret happened to be visiting during Emma's birthday, so we ordered Chipotle for dinner and celebrated with them and all the grandparents!
All was well, until Emma lit her candles right under the fire detector (totally my fault) and chaos ensued. We sang really fast & loudly while the smoke detector shrieked at us, and she blew the candles out and I enthusiastically waived a towel around to try to disperse the smoke, and whacked my Aunt Margaret in the head a few times. It seemed an appropriate start to the teenage years.
Mom's cousin, Mark, also paid my parents a visit on his way through Virginia this month.
Emma had her own masquerade experience at her friend, Leah's birthday party.

My dad's birthday is near the end of April, and we celebrated him at Texas Roadhouse.
My brother, Steve, and his daughter, Meera, visited us during their spring break.
One of our favorite spots to take them is Bergey's Farm. We all loved holding the baby bunnies!
Hallie loves them most of all, though.
They've always got tiny, adorable goats, too.
The goats are Emma's favorite.
Plus, there are piglet pens that you can sit inside. The piglets will normally run to you and cuddle in your lap.
Bergey's had a new attraction this visit - a soap bubble station! The kids had a blast getting completely covered in suds.

When we arrived home, the girls wanted to continue playing with soap. Meera said that it's fun to add soap and water to a trampoline and slip around on it.
They had a blast and laughed the whole time while they slipped around together!
Before Steve and Meera left, we took them to have ice cream at The Sweet Spot. We always love their visits!
